It goes without saying that the Standard is a right-wing piece of shit that sticks to other similarly minded pieces of shit. But this front page is fucking atrocious. Israel is murdering civilians with impugnity, in the eyes of the whole world, and the Evening Standards cites Israeli 'fears' that they are being used as 'sandbags'. Israel is deliberately bombing civilian areas, the photographic evidence of which is shocking, stomach-churning, obscene. Yet the Standard suddenly finds itself cast as fucking Rumpelstiltskin, spinning this awful reality into PR gold. Evidence of Israel's atrocities becomes evidence of Hezbollah's terrible venality: civilians deliberately murdered by Israel become "human sandbags".
