Al Qaeda document "bullshit" says blogger. posted by Richard Seymour
You heard it here first. That letter/memo allegedly sent by Ayman al-Zawahiri to Zarqawi is a tissue of whoppers. The letter allegedly suggests to Zarqawi that he set about taking over Iraq and setting up an Islamic state, which would then see similar coups take place in surrounding secular states, and then launch a final, obliterating operation against Israel.Left I wonders how it was submitted to the public gallery so quickly when the US is supposed to be concerned about 'hidden messages' in Al Qaeda texts and video-tapes. Far more curious are the anomalies of logic in the letter. Like the fact that it is allegedly addressed to Zarqawi, yet it urges the recipient to pass on greetings to ... Zarqawi. ("By God, if by chance you're going to Fallujah, send greetings to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.") The letter also seems to suggest that Zarqawi calm down a bit and stop targetting civilians. Does that sound quite like Al Qaeda to you? Al-Zawahiri bemoans his former confederates in the Taliban not giving the people representation in government. Yeah... I don't think the forgers have really thought this one through.
