I've got a new toy , and it lets me watch the inflow of traffic onto my website.  I can see what IP address you're coming from, whether it is a university, an internet cafe or a home connection, what time zone you're in, whether you were referred here or came off your own back.

So, for example, it allows me to see that someone is accessing my weblog from a local government secure intranet server.  Someone is accessing the site just down the road from me at the University of Central London.  Someone is accessing from a Banta corporation office in Florida.  Someone in Leicester University is having a look as well.  Oooh, and someone in Birkbeck crystallography department is having a look.  I may just go upstairs and have a word...
